World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026
Protecting the Vulnerable, Restoring Hope
Every year on 30 July, the world observes the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons to raise awareness about one of the most serious human rights violations of our time. Human trafficking strips people of their freedom, dignity, and opportunities, disproportionately affecting women, children, youth, refugees, and other vulnerable communities.
At Hamiza Development Foundation (HDF), we reaffirm our commitment to protecting vulnerable populations by promoting awareness, strengthening community resilience, and advocating for the rights of those at risk of exploitation.
Trafficking in persons can take many forms, including forced labour, sexual exploitation, child trafficking, forced marriage, and other forms of abuse. Poverty, conflict, displacement, unemployment, and limited access to education often increase the risk of trafficking, making community awareness and prevention more important than ever.
