International Translation Day – 30 September

September 30, 2026

Different languages. One world. A stronger future.

International Translation Day, observed annually on 30 September, celebrates the vital role of translation and language professionals in connecting people, communities and cultures across the world.

Language is more than a means of communication—it is a bridge that promotes understanding, inclusion and collaboration. In communities where people speak different languages, effective translation helps ensure that everyone can access important information, participate meaningfully and have their voices heard.

At Hamiza Development Foundation (HDF), we recognise the importance of inclusive communication in building equitable communities. By embracing linguistic diversity and making information accessible to people in languages they understand, we can strengthen participation, foster mutual understanding and ensure that no one is left behind.

Different languages may separate our words, but understanding brings us together.
