HAMIZA DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (HDF) is seeking qualified consultants to provide various technical services in various fields in relation to the Local Empowerment and Development for Refugees, and Host Communities  LEAD UGANDA Project in Bukere zone, Kyaka II Refugee settlement, Kyegegwa hosting district

The various consultancy services include: -


1. EXTENSION TECHNICAL SERVICES IN AGROECOLOGY

The successful candidates will work closely with our field team and community-based volunteers to provide technical support to our small holder farmers in Kyaka II Refugee settlement in Kyegegwa district, in climate smart agriculture practices.


Scope of Work:

The consultant will be responsible for:

- Providing technical assistance and training on Agroecology practices

- Conducting field visits and demonstrations

- Developing and disseminating extension materials

- Collaborating with other stakeholders to promote Agroecology practices


Requirements:

To be considered for this consultancy, applicants must have: -

- A minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Agroecology or a related field

- A degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field

- Proven experience in extension services and working with farmers

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills


 2. BASELINE SURVEY SERVICES

 

The survey aims to gather data on livelihoods and gender dynamics in KyakaII Refugee settlement, with a specific focus on Adolescent girls and boys (10-19), Young women (19-35) and caregivers/parents/guardians of both Refugees and Host community members. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to implement the survey.

 

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for:

 

1. Conducting a literature review of existing data and reports on the refugee settlement.

2. Designing a simple baseline study methodology, including data collection tools and sampling strategy.

3. Collecting and analysing data from primary and secondary sources.

4. Producing a comprehensive report detailing the findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

 

Requirements

To be considered for this consultancy, applicants must have:

 

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in conducting baseline studies or research in refugee settings.
2. A degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, statistics, or public health.
3. Proven experience in designing and implementing research methodologies, including data collection and analysis.
4. Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

 

 3. RESOURCE MOBILISATION

 

HAMIZA DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (HDF) is a young, dynamic organization seeking a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to design a strategy that secures funding, builds partnerships, and enhances our organizational capacity.

 

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for:

 

1. Conducting a thorough analysis of our organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).

2. Researching and identifying potential funding sources, including donors, grants, and corporate partnerships.

3. Developing a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, including goals, objectives, and tactics.

4. Designing a fundraising plan, including strategies for individual giving, events, and online fundraising.

5. Identifying and recommending potential partnerships and collaborations.

6. Developing a capacity-building plan to enhance our organization's resource mobilization capabilities.

 

Requirements

To be considered for this consultancy, applicants must have:

 

1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, or a related field.

2. A degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or non-profit management.

3. Proven experience in developing successful resource mobilization strategies and fundraising plans.

4. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
