Horticulture Value Chain Development project launch- Butebo district
At the project launch officiated by Hon. Frederick Ngobi Gume, Minister of state for Cooperatives together with the district local government and political leaders at the 1st Agroecology school in Kachuru village, Kabwangasi sub-county in Butebo district. HDF in partnership with Bumba Foundation UK and Butebo Women Development Association (CBO) conceptualized a horticulture project to benefit smallholder farmers in Butebo district. To-date, there is a demonstration garden covering over 5 acres of land provided by HDF and backed up by a high-quality irrigation system enabling production of high value vegetables all seasons and technically supported by ESAFF-Uganda.
