About Us

History

Hamiza’s vision to create a Uganda that is equal, just, and developed, where all individuals, especially women, girls, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and other vulnerable groups, enjoy their rights, equal opportunities, and the benefits of economic growth and development. Hamiza's vision is about creating a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the nation's progress, regardless of their background or circumstances. It requires addressing systemic inequalities and barriers to participation, while also promoting values of fairness, inclusion, and social justice. For the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved, displaced people and the communities hosting them must not be left behind. Our Ambition is comprised of four key elements:

  • imgEconomic Empowerment and Resilience
  • imgClimate change and environmental sustainability
  • imgEducation and skilling
  • imgProtection and safe programming
